Incest Defended

Society’s morals continue to decline. In the 1960s the sexual revolution justified sex outside marriage and “open marriages” where the husband and wife are free to sleep with others. Over the past two decades there has been a concerted effort to normalize homosexuality. The latest push is to legalize same-sex marriage. The question has been posed, if it is okay for two men or two women to marry, what else is acceptable? Can a man marry four women? Or can a woman marry her pet lama? If not, why not? Some react and say that these notions are ridiculous. Why? By what standard are they deemed to be ridiculous compared the homosexual marriage?

Now there is an argument being made by a Hollywood director that incest is okay. He basically said if a brother and sister are attracted to each other and do not plan to have children, what is wrong with them having sex? “Love who you want” (Read The Article).

There you have it. The honest truth. Logic demands that if it is okay for two men to get married or simply to have sex, then there is no reason to object to any other form of sexual activity. What is wrong with a brother and sister shacking up? What would be wrong with a 50-year-old man having sex with a 12-year-old boy? A woman with her lama? Yes, it is sick…at least for most of us.

The Bible says that marriage is for one man with one woman for life (1 Cor. 7:2; Rom. 7:1-4). Sex is lawful within this relationship, exclusively. The moment we step away from this, anything and everything is justified. Why? Because once you leave the standard, anything goes.

As those who believe the word of God we must speak out against such perversions. Don’t be ashamed (Rom. 1:16).
