#14 Esther: Unfinished Business

Podcast

As we study the story of Esther in chapters 5-7, we are going to see that pride goes before destruction, God’s providence overrules in the kingdoms of men as well as individual lives, and the great value of taking action.

Esther exemplifies a great servant of God. She lived in exciting times in foreign kingdom. She went from obscurity to queen of the world’s superpower and displayed true beauty in her pure character. Esther faced great challenges, but put her faith in God and bravely risked her life for her people.

She is a heroine of faith and a role model for all young women (and others). Not only did she show devotion to God, but artfully influenced those in power and inspired a generation of God’s people. Truly remarkable and a story better than any Disney princess fairytale.

In this episode we will conclude our study of Esther’s life as we see her step forward again to help God’s people. We will examine three key lessons: (1) man’s law vs. God’s; (2) how we must participate in our own deliverance; (3) memorials help remind us of God’s immense mercy and love.
