Have you ever asked someone a question only to be displeased with the answer? Maybe you approached a friend or family member expecting one type of answer, but got another. So, you rejected the answer… and later regretted it.

 This is what happened to a wealthy young man who asked Jesus a question about eternal life. He did not like the answer and turned away. No doubt, that young man came to regret his attitude toward the Lord. We want to examine this account in Mark 10 and learn not only about the good character of this young man, but also to see what he lacked and what it truly takes to inherit eternal life.
