There are various groups of people we read about in the New Testament with which we are not all that familiar (Sadducees, Pharisees, Herodians, Zealots, scribes, lawyers). It’s no wonder, though, because we are 2,000 years removed from them and it was a totally different culture. Understanding these groups and what they believed, however, will help us better comprehend God’s word and the interactions they had with men and women of faith.
