Disney and Hollywood have treated us to multiple stories about rags to riches; about how a young, unseen girl or boy persevered through adversity and rose to a place of praise and admiration. And, nearly every young girl has a dream of being a princess; boys a prince. They not only want to enjoy a palace, fancy dresses, and being served, but usually at the root of this is the desire to be respected, loved, adored. The Bible account of Esther is a real-life “princess” story or, more correctly, story of a majestic queen.
